Our New Offices Giveaway!
Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at 2:37PM So we moved into our new offices over the weekend, and it all went pretty smoothly, all things considered! We're SO happy to be here. It's bright and sunny and well-organized and the flow makes more sense. We'll be sharing the new space with you in a blog post as soon as we're totally in place.

Funny Moving Story: My dad was in the navy and we moved ourselves A LOT. One time..when I was younger..I had wanted to stay in the car while everyone else went to the bathroom at a rest stop(the 4 other kids). Well, I realized I didn't want to be alone and I jumped out but MADE SURE TO LOCK THE DOOR...because that's what you do when you leave a car alone...but I didn't realize the keys were still in there. Oops! Not sure my mom and dad thought it was very funny!

Two moves ago, I was moving from Kitchener to Richmond Hill. The UHaul I'd reserved was not available and they had me waiting for hours for a truck. Meanwhile I HAD to be out of my old place that day, and the people I'd asked to help me move were getting antsy. Finally, they found a truck for me and we got it loaded up - in the rain, in the dark - and got on the road. 10 km down the 401, the engine light came on! We were so frustrated by that point we just decided to give'er and keep going! We drove all the way to Richmond Hill on the 401 at about 75 km an hour... everyone hated us but we made it!
At the time it was NOT funny, but now I can look back and laugh at how horrible the experience was!
