Kickin' It Old School - Purple Rain Pinterest Contest Winners!

Hello loves! It's Katie here! We at AppleCheeks HQ hope you are LOVINGGGGGGG the new Limited Edition, Purple Rain. Purple raaaaaaaaaaain purrrrrrrrrrrrrrple raaaain. We really enjoyed this reveal SO much. Between Amy & Ilana's reveal video, the build up of the release of a LONG anticipated color, the birth of fan- created and -ran AppleCheeks Anonymous, and your AMAZING Pinterest creations, I can't say I've had more fun with my AppleCheeks fans! 

Ilana & Amy may argue with me on this, but this contest was SERIOUSLY the hardest to pick winners for. And 6 winners wasn't nearly enough. If I could give a Purple Rain to every single one of you I would because I KNOW this was hard work. It was totes fun, but hard nonetheless. Thank you to every single one of you that brought back some awesome memories, some "OMG I HAD THAT!"'s, the "Omg what in the world were they THINKING?!"'s, and lots of laughs! 

But I had to narrow it down! Purple Rain AND a swim diaper are going home with each of these ladies for their TOTALLY TUBULAR boards!

Deanna for her AMAZING and OUTRAGEOUS captions to her pins. She was going to win a diaper for her AppleCheeks product pic (breathtaking pic of her hubster & son in a swim diaper. Well the baby was in the swimmer. Not the husband. He has regular clothes on. But he looks cute, so feel free to check for yourself. I'll wait here...) Okay. Anyways. But then I started to read her captions a little because HELLO how in the WORLD are you supposed to get ANY WORK DONE when it's on PINTEREST or FACEBOOK?! It's close to impossible. Her captions KILLED me (Hulk Hogan in Storm?! Enough said) and she made PLENTY of AppleCheeks references. So for this, she goes home with Purple Rain.

Courtney had THE prettiest pics on her board. The Little Pony in Hammer Pants?! The colorful candy?! Barbies with shoulder pads? The ROLLERSKATES WITH LEG WARMERS?! It all pretty much killed me. The jellies and the gorgeous pic of our covers by review blogger Dear Crissy were just icing on the cake. And Holy Rainbow Brite. There are no words. I heart her still to this day with my whole pink puffy heart.

Once again, no words. But for TOTALLY different reasons. This gem of David Hasselhoff is labeled TOTALLY TUBULAR by JustBean. Thank you for the laugh. Because I had one. Or 12.

This one pinned by Tammy was from one of the first boards I investigated. Ilana and I stalked y'all for hours waiting on your boards to start rolling in after we announced this contest. Yeah, we're cool. Anyways. I saw this and said "THIS GIRL IS WINNING". The obscene number of these Simplicity patterns laying around my mom's sewing room will never equal to the awesomeness of the Hammer Pants sewing pattern. Ever.

Some of y'all I think were in competition to see who could be the biggest stalker ever of mine. We're going to give a Print Storage Sac to each one of these super sluethy stalkers! Y'all made my DAY! :)
